Golden Tulip Aix Les Bains - Hotel & Spa, Aix-les-Bains

I must say, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms looked nice in the photos, and in reality, they are pretty new and done to a great standard. The only downside was that they did not come with the complimentary use of the Spa, but honestly, the room was more than enough for one person.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, offering a nice retreat compared to other hotels. The central location was great for exploring the town, although a bit far from the lake. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, but some language barriers were encountered. The dining experience was somewhat lacking in variety, but the freshly baked bread was a nice touch.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were pretty new and done to a great standard, both very nice, clean, and quiet. However, I was a bit disappointed that standard toiletries like toothpaste and ear buds were not provided. The service was a bit lacking as the staff needs training on reception and how to talk to guests, but on the bright side, room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and the welcome drink were excellent. The location was good, close to the city center just behind the casino and 200m from the main station. Although slightly far from the lake, it's in a beautiful park near restaurants, and there’s underground parking for a fee, which you can access with your room card. Dining was a mix of experiences; some aspects were excellent and generous, but others like the coffee machines were lacking. When it comes to facilities, they offered everything I needed, but there were a few minor issues. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
